Samburu National Reserve is one of the most unique national reserves in Kenya. It’s a semi desert with a rugged hilly terrain, great rocky kopjes and lots of springs supporting the abundant wildlife The Ewaso Nyiro River nestled inside the park ensures a year round provision of wildlife and home to unique species found only in the region, like the Blue-Legged Ostrich, the elusive Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, long-necked Gerenuk and reticulated giraffe. The big five are also in plenty as well as birdlife.
