Tsavo National Park- 'Theatre of the Wild'

The joint mass of Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks forms one of the largest national parks in the world and covers a massive 4% of Kenya's total land area. Tsavo East, one of the last great wilderness landscapes on Earth, offers a vast arena of parched scrub and heat-shimmering bush, which is washed by the azure waters of the Galana River, guarded by the Yatta Plateau and patrolled by some of the largest elephant herds in the world. Tsavo West, land of lions and lava, is painted on a sprawling canvas of endless skies, emerald hills, liquid lava flows, palm-fringed rivers, teeming wildlife and sparkling oases, where rafts of hippo wallow, snort and blow in the crystal clear melt waters of Mount Kilimanjaro.


What to see

  • The Park is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo,crocodile, waterbucks, Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk and Hirola
  • The prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.

Leave for Tsavo in the early morning to arrive at your lodge in time for lunch get to relax and later embark on an afternoon game drive.

 

Yatta Plateau

Morning and afternoon game drives at Tsavo East which is famous for not only its wide array of wildlife but also attractions such as Galana River, Yatta plateau and Lugard falls.

 

Black Rhino

Have breakfast en route Tsavo West which is famous for the Big 5, diverse Birdlife and is also home to a Black Rhino Sanctuary. Visit Mzima springs and Lake Jipe. All meals at your lodge

 

 

Early morning game drive in the park and return to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast or take breakfast and leave for Nairobi with a game drive enroute. This is an opportunity to experience the amazing Tsavo for one last time. You will arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon and later dropped at your place of residence
